Canine Compassion Fund & Fetterly Farms

Fetterly Farms is where many of the Canine Compassion Fund pups are housed. Volunteers are gladly welcomed and the work would include cleaning out pens, walking, feeding, watering, and of course giving lots of attention to the dogs!

Therapeutic Riding Center of Tuscaloosa (TROT)

T.R.O.T. is looking for dedicated volunteers to care for horses, help maintain the barn, and help with students during their lessons. No previous experience is required of any kind. For your safety, the safety of the animals, as well as the students who will be riding, a mandatory training session is required before volunteering begins.

Birmingham Zoo

The Birmingham Zoo is great resume booster for veterinary school. To become an adult volunteer with the zoo, you must be at least 18 years of age, be able to commit to 60 hours of volunteer time in a year, and go through the zoo’s orientation session. The cost for orientation is $40.
